Mooirivier’s surroundings

Mooirivier is right on the bank of the Overijsselse Vecht river and adjacent to a unique nature reserve with rare plants and pasture birds. It’s a beautiful spot at the heart of the Vechtdal district. The castles and estates route through the area is highly recommended for both cyclists and walkers. Mooirivier makes a good base for exploring the villages of Dalfsen and Ommen with their welcoming shops and outdoor cafés. The old Hanseatic town of Zwolle is nearby and certainly worth a visit. Two major theme parks are less than half an hour’s drive away and make a nice day out for our younger guests.
