We are happy and proud to share that Mooirivier has been awarded 1 MICHELIN Key by the MICHELIN Guide. The Key is the hotel counterpart to the well-known MICHELIN Stars for restaurants: an independent recognition of exceptional hotel stays.
This year, MICHELIN introduced the Key worldwide for the first time. The Netherlands now also has an official Key selection. In simple terms: the MICHELIN Key is to hotels what the MICHELIN Stars are to restaurants - an independent recognition of quality and character.
In practice, MICHELIN inspectors travel anonymously and assess independently. They look at five aspects: architecture and interior design, service and consistency, personality and character, value for price, and contribution to the surroundings. Based on this assessment, MICHELIN awards one, two, or three Keys - with 1 Key signifying exceptional, 2 Keys outstanding, and 3 Keys extraordinary.
For us, this Key is an appreciation of what we strive for here on the banks of the Vecht every day: creating a place that feels right - in calm, in design, and in hospitality - down to the details. We are proud of our team, both front-of-house and behind the scenes.
This recognition gives us energy to keep building an experience that feels right from arrival to departure.
Our thanks to everyone who helps shape Mooirivier - colleagues, partners, and suppliers - and to all our guests who spend their time here. We will keep doing what we believe in: care, precision, and warmth, every single day.
